Availability and work locations

Tell your team how many hours you're available and whether you're in the office — day by day, straight from the planner.

Every day in the planner carries a small availability chip in its header. It answers the two questions a planner keeps asking: how much can this person take on today, and are they in the office?

Set your own availability

On My Planning, click the chip on a day (it reads Availability with a + when empty). The popover asks for:

  • Available hours1h, 2h, 4h or 8h.
  • LocationOffice or Remote. Optional.
  • A note — optional, e.g. "leaving at 3".

Save, and the chip shows your hours (in green) plus an office or home icon. The trash icon in the popover clears the day again.

Availability is personal: only you can set yours. A manager cannot fill it in for you — if the team keeps it up to date, the planner stays honest.

What the team sees

On Team Planning, clicking a day's chip opens the Availability panel for that date: every teammate who set something, with their hours (full day, half day, or the exact number), their note, and an Office or Remote badge — topped by totals like 3 editors · 20h total and 2 in office · 1 remote.

In the one-day view, each person's hours also sit right in their column header while you plan.

Default hours per weekday

So nobody has to fill in "8h" every single day, an admin or manager can set default weekday hours per teammate in Settings → Planner: a dropdown per person with 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours (or none). "Default hours apply to weekdays. Teammates can still override any specific day on the planner." — an explicit entry on a day always wins over the default.
