Wiki-links, visibility and link health

Link pages with [[, control exactly who can see each one, lock pages you own, and keep the space tidy.

Type [[ anywhere in an article to open an autocomplete over your Knowledge Base. It matches on title or slug and shows up to eight suggestions.

If nothing matches, a create row appears β€” pick it and you get a brand-new page linked from where you are standing, without leaving the article you are writing. That is the fastest way to build a space: write, link forward, fill in later.

Linking is forgiving about formatting. [[E-X5-Naming Convention]] resolves to a page titled "E-X5 - Naming Convention" β€” capitalisation, dashes and spacing do not have to match exactly.

Linked mentions

Every article shows a Linked mentions panel listing the pages that link to it. It is how you discover context you did not know existed.

Needs attention

The Knowledge Base overview has a Needs attention panel that keeps the space from rotting as it grows:

  • Broken links β€” wiki-links pointing at pages that do not exist yet in this space. Each offender is listed literally, so you can see what was meant.
  • Orphan pages β€” pages nothing links to. The hint is blunt: "No page links here β€” link to them so they're easy to find."

Individual pages also flag their own broken links inline as you read.

Visibility

Each article has one of four visibility levels:

  • Private (only you) β€” nobody else sees it. New articles start here, so in-progress writing never accidentally publishes.
  • Internal team β€” your team, excluding freelancers.
  • Team + freelancers β€” everyone in the workspace.
  • Public on the web β€” anyone with the link, served on a public page.

For a public article, use Copy public link to grab its URL.

Locking a page

Use Lock page on a page you own to stop other people editing it. A locked page shows a Locked badge with the note "Only the author and managers can edit this page."

The rules are exactly that: an unlocked page can be edited by any contributor; a locked page only by its author or a Knowledge Base manager. The lock can be flipped by the author or a manager β€” use Unlock page to reopen it.

Lock the pages that must not drift β€” naming conventions, delivery specs, client rules β€” and leave everything else open so the team keeps it current.
