AI credits and topping up

The assistant, script generation and meeting summaries all run on one euro-denominated credit balance.

AI usage is billed from a single workspace balance, in euros. Every newly created workspace starts with €5 of AI credits, so the assistant works out of the box.

What spends credits

  • Conversations with the in-app assistant, and with Claude through the connector.
  • Generate in the script writer and Generate with AI on shot lists.
  • Summarize on a meeting recording.

They all draw on the same balance, so there is one number to watch rather than several.

Checking your balance

Go to Settings → AI (/settings/company/ai). You will see:

  • AI credit balance — your current balance in euros.
  • Usage · last 30 days — how much was spent and how many assistant turns that was.
  • Usage per member — who used the assistant over the last 30 days, with each person's share.

You do not need to keep checking it: the assistant warns you in the conversation itself when the balance runs low.

Topping up

  1. Open Settings → AI and click Buy AI credits.
  2. Pick a pack: €10, €25 or €50. Each is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
  3. You are redirected to Stripe to pay.

Credits land on your workspace balance right after payment. You will see "Payment received — your AI credits are being added."

Running low or running out

When your balance drops to €1 or less, the assistant shows a quiet warning after a turn: "Low: top up to keep using the assistant."

When it hits zero you get a clear block instead of a technical error: "Out of AI credits. Top up to continue." with a Buy AI credits link straight to the top-up page. Nothing is lost — top up and continue the same conversation.

Who can top up

The AI settings page is available to everyone in the workspace, but reading credit transactions through the assistant is admin-only.

Keeping costs down

Long conversations are much cheaper than they look — the conversation prefix is cached between turns, so a follow-up question does not re-pay for everything said before it. Starting a brand-new conversation for an unrelated topic is still worth doing for clarity, but you do not need to do it to save money.
