Send a cut for review with a link, log your time, handle feedback and approve.

Review is a status change plus a link. Here is the full loop.

Sending work for review

  1. Open the project and choose Move to review in the status panel.
  2. Paste your review URL into Review Link (Frame.io URL).
  3. Log your Time Worked in hours and minutes.
  4. Add any Notes about the work done.
  5. Click Confirm.

The deliverable moves to Awaiting feedback. You can add or change the link later from the project header with Add Review Link, and open it with Open Review.

Handling feedback

When the client comes back with changes, move the deliverable to Changes requested and get to work. When the next cut is ready, move it back to Awaiting feedback with the updated link. Repeat as many rounds as it takes — each round is just a status move.

Approving

Use Approve project when the client signs off. You will be asked to confirm: approving marks the work as approved and ready for completion. Individual deliverables move to Approved, which is the end of post-production.

Uploading a review video directly

If you are not using an external review tool, the Reviews section lets you upload a video with Upload Review. Give it a title and description, then drag and drop the file. The uploader asks for MP4, MOV, AVI or WebM and states a 100MB guideline — stay inside it and you will have no surprises. Do not close the window while it uploads.

Bringing the client in

Clients who need to see the work do not need a seat. Two options:

  • Share on the project opens a Links section with a View link (read-only) and an Edit link you can copy and send.
  • Add them as an external member from the same share menu, with a permission of Can view or Can edit. They receive an email invitation, valid for 7 days, that drops them straight onto the project once they sign in.

When everything is approved

Once every active deliverable reaches Approved, the app asks where the project should go next — on to Distribution, or straight to Mark completed. It never jumps ahead on its own.
