Build a shot list

Open the Shot lists tab. Shot planning is scene-first: every scene from the selected script appears automatically, and you add shots underneath it.

Pick a script

Each script gets its own shot list. Use Pick a script to switch between them. Your selection travels with you between Scripts and Shot lists, so you stay on the same piece of work when you move between tabs.

If the project has no scripts yet you will see "No scripts yet — Write a script first; every script gets its own shot list."

Scenes

Scenes come from your script's headings and are named after them. You can also use Add scene to add one directly, and rename any scene inline with Rename scene.

The scene header menu (Scene actions) lets you Move up, Move down or Delete scene. Deleting is safe — "Delete this scene? Its shots stay but move to 'Unassigned'."

Click a scene title to Open this scene in the script and jump straight to it in the writer.

Shots

Use Add shot under a scene. Each shot carries a description and a size. Scene and shot numbers renumber themselves as you add, remove and reorder, so you never maintain numbering by hand.

Location is set once per scene

A location belongs to the scene, not to each individual shot. Use Location on the scene header to set it once and it applies to every shot in that scene.

Locations must exist first — if none do you will see "Add locations in the Locations tab first".

Generate with AI

Generate with AI builds a full shot list from the script. It runs on your workspace's AI credit balance. Treat the result as a first pass and edit it — it is much faster than starting from a blank list.

What happens on the shoot day

In the Production phase the same shots appear on the Shotlist tab as your shoot-day checklist, with a live "X of Y shot" progress bar. Mark each one Shot as you capture it — the mobile app is built for exactly this.
