Casting: build a talent database

The Casting tab is available in pre-production and production. It has two layers: a reusable, workspace-wide casting board of people you have worked with, and the cast of a specific project.

Add someone to a project

Click Add cast. You have two options:

• Add from casting board — search the people already in your workspace and pick one. This is the fast path once your board has some depth.
• New person — create someone on the spot. They are added to the casting board too, so you never enter the same person twice.

What you capture per person

• Name and Role
• A photo, via Upload photo
• Location and Day rate (€)
• Availability
• Email, Phone and a Showreel URL
• Notes — casting notes, language, strengths

This lives on the person, so it follows them to the next project.

Track the decision

Each person on a project carries a status you set with Change status:

1. Shortlisted — under consideration.
2. Approved — signed off internally or by the client.
3. Booked — confirmed for the shoot.

You can also add a per-project note separate from the person's general notes — useful when someone is a strong fit for this brief but not the next one.

Let the assistant help

The AI assistant can manage casting for you: put people on a project, shortlist candidates against the brief, and save a photo you drop into the chat straight to someone's profile. Ask it in the project's context.

Why the board matters

The casting board is the point. Every person you add to a project builds a per-workspace talent database with photos, rates and contact details — so the third production you cast is much faster than the first.
